Most booked homestay destinations in 2025

Muniao published the annual report on 15 Jan 2026. Qingdao is 1st, Beijing 2nd, Weihai 3rd. Nanjing is 4th; Yangtse Evening News says Super League Jiangsu lifted Nanjing to the year’s highest search and enquiry volume on the platform. Xuzhou’s homestay orders rose 122% year on year and stayed outside this top ten.

That is platform booking heat for calendar 2025, not review-score decimals and not a list of individual listings. We did not find a public 2025–2026 named property ranking from Tujia, Meituan Homestay, or Ctrip’s reputation list; their holiday-city bookings, Zhenxuan map, and Dianping’s hotel list sit in later tables. Fastest-growing ten

The same report lists the ten fastest-growing destinations among its TOP100: Kaifeng, Fangchenggang, Urumqi, Qingyuan, Guiyang, Lianyungang, Xuzhou, Rizhao, Lingshui, Liuzhou. Kaifeng’s orders grew 4.6 times.

Top ten counties

The report also names the ten county-level destinations for 2025. County homestay orders rose 36% year on year.

Provinces by host revenue

The ten provincial-level units with the most homestay host revenue in 2025: Shandong, Jiangsu, Beijing, Sichuan, Chongqing, Hunan, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Yunnan. Xinjiang, Guizhou and Henan were the fastest-growing provinces by orders; the report does not rank those three 1–3.

Tujia publishes separate city lists by holiday. Spring Festival 2025 advance bookings to 14 Jan: Dali 1st. May Day 2025 to 24 Apr: Qingdao 1st. TravelDaily on the 2025 summer window: Qingdao 1st nationally, Dali 2nd, Weihai 5th. Pinchain on foreign guests that summer: top five Shanghai, Guangzhou, Beijing, Chengdu, Shenzhen; Dali, Kunming and Lijiang take three of the remaining top-ten seats.

Tujia Zhenxuan and Dianping Must-Stay

Tujia’s 12 Apr 2025 host conference: selected tiers already about half of bookings; Zhenxuan is about 1% of listings and occupancy runs 22% above ordinary stays. The cities with the most Zhenxuan supply are named with “including” Dali, Beijing, Huzhou, Hangzhou, Sanya, Chongqing, Shanghai, Chengdu, Suzhou and Qingdao, plus Nyingchi and Kashgar — not as ranks 1–10. Tujia also launched a summer “must-stay guide”; public copy cites about 100 annual picks and 20-plus cities, not a full roster.

Dianping’s 8 Apr 2026 Must-Stay list: 1,418 hotels in 205 cities. Cities ranked by how many hotels made the list are below. Hangzhou has 54, the most in China. Zhejiang has 188, the most of any province. Luxury properties: luxury hotels.
