How this ranking was built
Compiled 2026-10-16. The window is calendar year 2025. Press date 2026-02-19. The main table uses IFPI’s published top 20 and chart units. What the IFPI release also says
IFPI says this is the first Global Single Chart No. 1 with non-English lyrics, and the first topped by an artist from outside North America and Europe. Eight of the top ten had already been released before 2025. Two 2025 releases made the top ten; Alex Warren’s “Ordinary” is one of them. HUNTR/X’s “Golden” came out mid-year, from the animated film KPop Demon Hunters. Saja Boys’ “Soda Pop,” from the same film, is No. 13.
In 2024 IFPI changed how subscription streams are weighted by country, so these units do not line up row by row with Global Single Chart results from 2023 or earlier. Artist ranks: singers and artists. Earnings: global music earnings. Label revenue: music labels.
