Criteria and methodology 2026(Compiled as of 2026-08-07). Korean drama "rankings" often mix overseas community scores with domestic Korean ratings, so this list keeps them separate: the main chart uses MyDramaList's overall Korean drama rating leaderboard; ratings come from Nielsen Korea peak household ratings as compiled on Wikipedia (cable and terrestrial broadcast listed separately); 2025–2026 newcomers are listed separately for comparison. Streaming viewership numbers are not published by platforms, so they are not included in the main chart.

MyDramaList Top 15 Korean Dramas by Rating

As of the compilation date, the top spot is 2025’s *When Life Gives You Tangerines* (9.3), followed by *Twinkling Watermelon* at 9.2; *Move to Heaven*, *Weak Hero Class 1*, and *Alchemy of Souls* are stuck at 9.1. *Reply 1988*, *Flower of Evil*, and *Hospital Playlist* still sit near the top. The 2026 new drama *Teach You a Lesson* has already entered the overall list at No. 12 (9.0), showing that the chart shifts upward as new titles arrive.

Scores are community-weighted averages, not official Korean votes; same-title seasonal entries (e.g., Hospital Playlist 1/2) are counted separately.

Cable Nielsen Peak Top 12

Ranked by peak national household ratings per episode, per Wikipedia. *The World of the Married* holds the top cable spot at 28.371%, followed by *Reborn Rich*, *Queen of Tears*, *SKY Castle*, and *Crash Landing on You*. The 2025 hit *Bon Appétit, Your Majesty* peaked at 17.107%, squeezing into twelfth place overall—proof that recent blockbusters can still crack the all-time list, though breaking past the 20% tier remains a tall order.

Classic Terrestrial Peaks (For Reference)

In the 1990s, terrestrial peaks routinely hit around 60%—*You and I* at 66.9%, *First Love* at 65.8%, *What Is Love?* at 64.9%, and *Hourglass* at 64.5%.
