How the ranking works

Methodology anchor 2026(Compiled on 2026-08-06). The dedicated year-end chart "Billboard K-Pop Artist 100" typically only publishes its full edition late in the year, and the 2026 year-end list has not been released yet; this article instead uses three metrics that better reflect the current year: Billboard's main chart Artist 100 weekly K-Pop ranking, Circle first half of 2026album/digital charts, and Forbes Korea 2026 Power Celebrity. Touring data is supplemented by the Billboard Midyear Boxscore.

Billboard Artist 100 (2026): K-Pop excerpt for the current week

Week captured: 2026-08-08 Current-week chart. KATSEYE ranks No. 17, the highest K-Pop-affiliated act in the top 20 that week; BTS is No. 24; JENNIE is No. 51; rookie-leaning act CORTIS sits at No. 56; ATEEZ lands at No. 89. The Artist 100 moves fast, and release weeks can push acts very high—ATEEZ, for instance, has topped the chart during an album rollout—so read this table as "who's visible on the U.S. chart right now," not as a final year-end tally.

24BTSStill holding strong on the chart well after the “ARIRANG” comeback year

89ATEEZA regular on U.S. charts; hit No. 1 on the Artist 100 during its release week

Note: The Billboard website still retains 2025 K-Pop Artist 100 The full 100-artist ranking (where SEVENTEEN members swept positions 1–13 at the time). That was the tally for the previous tracking year, and the main table here does not revisit it to avoid conflicting with the 2026 methodology.

Circle First Half 2026: Top 15 Album Shipments

For physical shipments from January to June, BTS’s *ARIRANG* took first place by a landslide with approximately 4.224 million units; ENHYPEN’s *THE SIN : VANISH* ranked second with about 2.144 million; CORTIS’s *GREENGREEN* came in third with roughly 2.031 million; BLACKPINK’s *DEADLINE* placed fourth with about 1.988 million; and TXT’s new album rounded out the top five with approximately 1.700 million. With a comeback year, BTS pushed the shipment ceiling back up.

Circle 2026 First Half: Digital Chart Top 12

The mid-year digital chart leans more toward domestic streaming habits. HANRORO’s “Landing in Love” and “0+0” take the top two spots; Hwasa’s “Good Goodbye” and KiiiKiii’s “404 (New Era)” follow, with WOODZ’s “Drowning” still holding at No. 5. IVE’s “BANG BANG,” BLACKPINK’s “JUMP,” Rosé, aespa, and NMIXX also land in the top 25—though physical and digital chart-toppers rarely overlap.

Forbes Korea Power Celebrity 2026 (Music)

BTS reclaims the top spot; G-Dragon ranks second and BLACKPINK third. Jin, V, Jungkook, and j-hope each made the top ten as solo acts; Jennie, IU, Lisa, Jang Won-young, Karina, and others appear on the 40-name list. This ranking is driven by income and buzz, not strictly by album sales or digital chart performance.

Tour Addendum (Billboard Midyear 2026)

Midyear Boxscore (through roughly end of March): SEVENTEEN's "NEW_" tour ranked 7th globally with about $88.1 million, 574,000 attendees, and 25 shows; TWICE came in 12th, TXT 15th. Their names may not always top the shipment charts in the first half, but live revenue proves that "showing up in person" remains the real benchmark.

Editor’s Quick Take (2026)

Based primarily on Circle’s first-half data, Forbes 2026, and current Billboard Artist 100 performance. If a new edition of the “K-Pop Artist 100” drops later this year, rankings will shift once more.
