The World's 50 Best Bars 2025

More than 800 Academy voters across 29 regions each cast 8 votes; Deloitte adjudicates. The list covers 29 cities, with 8 new names in the top 50. Europe has 23 places. London and New York each have four. Hope & Sesame in Guangzhou is 29, the first Guangzhou bar on the world 50. Coa in Hong Kong is 38. Moebius Milano in Milan climbed 31 places to 7. Mirror Bar in Bratislava is the highest new entry at 25.

Names follow the official Latin spellings. Hong Kong and Macau are listed as Chinese cities.

Chinese-city bars on the world list

Bar Leone and Coa in Hong Kong, plus Hope & Sesame in Guangzhou, sit in the top 50. On 51–100: Argo at 56, Gokan at 70, The Savory Project at 86, all in Hong Kong.

Asia's 50 Best Bars 2026

The 2026 Asia list is already out, announced at Wynn Palace in Macau on 28 July 2026. Hope & Sesame in Guangzhou is No. 1, the first mainland China bar to top Asia. Bar Leone in Hong Kong is 3. MO Bar Shenzhen is 5, Obsidian Bar in Shenzhen is 10. Pony Up in Shanghai is 19, CMYK in Changsha is 27, Ralph's Bar in Chengdu is 28, Tiao in Beijing is 50. Hong Kong also has Gokan, Coa, Mius, Argo, Montana and Penicillin.

2025 special awards

Copied from the 8 October 2025 release. Best Bar in Europe remains Sips in Barcelona. Best in North America is Handshake Speakeasy in Mexico City. Best in South America is Tres Monos in Buenos Aires. Best in Australasia is Caretaker's Cottage in Melbourne. Best in Africa is named as a stand-alone title for the first time and goes to Hero Bar in Nairobi. Best in the Middle East is Mimi Kakushi in Dubai.
